Slide tarp systems feature a tarp that is mounted on a set of tracks or slides along the sides of the trailer bed. The tarp can be easily slid back and forth to cover or uncover the cargo. Slide tarp systems offer a streamlined and efficient way to protect the cargo while minimizing the need for manual labor.

Poly tarps are also the weakest type of tarp. Vinyl tarps are the most common heavy-duty tarps used by truckers. They resist wind damage on the highway and are the most protective material commonly available.
